Jo's one night installation

I went to an opening for an installation work by my friend Jo@every1000years yesterday. I met her hybrid, weird and invasive but kind of sad monsters in her studio/gallery space in Brunswick, comfortably swimming in the gallery wall. I think I dreamt of those guys last night.

Playing with watercolour for a new project

I've been doing lots and lots of little drawings and I'm making a new copper plate work so I'm itching to print!!
I've been having a bad backache this year and recently got seriously worse. Just hoping my backache goes away and I can work better in the studio. I never knew a physical pain or injury would affect my daily life so much - I couldn't even wear socks by myself:( I'll really look after myself inside out from now on...

Recent doodles...and news

Awwww I got a press from my friend Bridget while she is in Belfast but haven't had time to use it yet! Doodling makes me want to do etching that I can't do at home.
I have to make images that are more suitable for engraving or drypoint but my recent drawings look more suited for etching.
I'm always making things that are more difficult:(

Another thing.. I am included in the 2009 Geelong acquisive print awards at Geelong Galley. I haven't seen it myself but looks like there are so many beautiful works in the exhibition! I feel really lucky to be able to show my work with such established printmakers such as Jazmina Cininas, Heather Shimen, Richard Harding, David Frazer and many more.

This work is by Angela Cavalleri, 2009 winner of the awards.
