Stories and prints I - Commune

Commune, 2015

Tells the beautiful, tragic, and triumphant tale of Daphne. In an age before evil roamed the Earth, was a beautiful spring nymph named Daphne. Descendent of the River God and Earth Goddess, Daphne's beauty outshone the moon.
Such was her beauty, that even the Gods wanted her. Attempting to escape a cruel fate, she cried to her mother Gaia to save her. In order to protect her, Gaia turned her daughter into a eucalyptus tree.

From that day, until this very moment, a eucalyptus tree stands alone by a river, deep in the mountains. This tree offers shelter and protection to all girls and innocent creatures who seek it... a safe haven... a commune.

I met an amazing lady Huda in Hong Kong when I went there for Call of the Wild exhibition at Odd One Out.
She kindly wrote stories to accompany some of my prints in the exhibition.

Here is the first one - Thank you so much for your beautiful imagination and stories.
More stories to follow in the next few days.
